Has anyone gotten their hands on a maxus yet? Have not been able to find them in Wisconsin yet.

Mine has been on order since November, My dealer tells me that browning has set a ship date of mid july so I am hoping to have it SOON :grooving:

If you're going to buy one from a Bass Pro Shops, I know every Bass Pro store in the country has to get at least one in the store before they can sell them to the public. The guy at the gun counter told me that's normally why Bass Pro has a slightly better price than retailers who have had the gun on the shelf for a couple weeks longer. We'll see I reckon.

Can't wait to see the Maxus.

Gotta love browning, they release a gun, brag about it, and then don't have any anywhere. At least when Benelli releases a gun, it comes out on the release date. :lol3:

Actually, I'm looking forward to seeing what you guys have to say about it, assuming one of you actually gets your hands on one.

I have been loyal to my SBE2 since the first hunt I took it on. BUT, if the Maxus is a awesome as the youtube video makes it I will but one! I know the videos are made to make the product look awesome but that is a GREAT video. Makes that gun look like the best ever made, and it might be.... who knows.

I wounder if they puched back release date to work out some problems???

I had my hands on one at the national NWTF Banquet in Nashville in Feb, and all I got to say is all the guys that bash benellis for bein plastic are going to eat crow when they get ahold of that piece of crap. I own many Browning guns and was very disapointed at how it felt. The worst part was the forearm was as lose as a Mossberg 835 and the barrel is so low you got to press your cheek down terribly hard to get down on the barrel. I have a Gold and would rather have it than the Maxus. The bad part is I put my name on the list to get one at Whittakers awhile ago before I held one. I sure hope I can get out of that. The Maxus was introduced a year ago and you still cant get them. The Vinci was introduced 3-31 and you could get them in two months. Ha ha ha

Kydrake, Browning has released a statement a while back with all the guns that are going out to shows that the loose forend is only on the prototypes and that it will not be a problem on the production guns, Also dont forget that the Maxus has stock shims unlike the BPS and Gold so you can raise or lower the stock Comb as needed to fit you best :grooving:

I hadn't heard that from Browning about the proto guns. I hope they are tellin the truth cause it was bad. I want one cause it resembles my cynergy but if that forearm issue aint fixed I won't buy one. As for the shims I like a step rib so even shimmin it out probaly won't be perfect for me but we ll see.

It's the Maxus vs. the Benelli Vinci in the new shotguns - cool! - who will win?

Have not touched the Maxus but I have a feeling they will take the Vinci. I am a little confused why Benelli made a new 3" gun when the M2 is so close to perfect... They should have made a SBE3 and added some more options to it.

If it were the Maxus vs. M2, the M2 would whip it. But the Vinci is nothung special.

I agree with MM. Why try to come out with a 3" gun when you already got a good 3"on the market. Its gonna be hard for Benelli to ever come out with something that impresses everyone cause they done it right from the beginning and its gonna be hard to improve that. Honestly I don't know what they could do to the SBE II to make it any better. But I guess just setting around selling millions of guns is no fun in the industry. What they enjoy is building new stuff and I think that's why the Vinci came along.

I've been looking for another gun since last season. The front runners are the gold and sx3 or some type of 10g . I'm holding out to see what the maxus hype is all about. So far it has been one long summer waiting for this gun to come out.

I love the new firearms that have been made in the past few years but to be honest I like my shotguns in particular to keep the bells and whistles to a minimum. The maxus and vinci look awesome, but I am not ready to smack 1,500 dollars plus for one this early in release.
